Privacy Policy
Buzzer Bash is a party word game. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no trackers. This page explains the little that does happen with data, in plain language, because that's how we'd want it explained to us.
What stays on your device
- Your game settings (timers, team names, sound on/off)
- Custom decks you create, and which decks you've purchased
- Scores and game history
All of this lives in the app's local storage on your phone. It never leaves your device, and deleting the app deletes it.
Party Mode
When you host or join a room, the name and cartoon face you pick, plus your in-game actions (Got It, Skip, team choice), are relayed through our game server so everyone's phones stay in sync. This information is held in the server's memory only for the life of the room, is not written to any database, and is gone when the room ends. Room codes are random letters and contain nothing about you.
The game server runs on Cloudflare Workers. Like virtually all internet services, Cloudflare sees connection metadata (such as IP addresses) as part of operating its network; see Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Purchases
Deck packs are one-time purchases processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details. To restore purchases across reinstalls, the app uses RevenueCat, which validates purchase receipts under a random anonymous identifier — not your name, email, or Apple ID. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
Children
Buzzer Bash does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. There are no accounts, profiles, or chat features. One optional deck contains adult humor and is clearly labeled 18+.
What we don't do
- No selling of data — there's nothing to sell
- No third-party advertising or ad SDKs
- No analytics or behavioral tracking
- No contact books, photos, location, or microphone access
Changes and contact
If the app ever changes how it handles data, this page will be updated before that version ships. Questions: bobbywesterfeld@gmail.com.
